Ensure we are all free

Franklin’s wisdom for US: Despotism is good for no one.

Despotism is the exercise of absolute power, particularly in a cruel and oppressive way.

Franklin’s comment was about how Canada was being treated by Great Britain. In a meeting with the King’s representatives, Franklin offered this view that no one should be treated oppressively, no matter the territory.

Franklin’s call to action for US: Ensure our country stays free, and that no citizens of the United States are treated oppressively.
